1. To provide emotional and practical support to people with Prader-Willi
Syndrome, their families and carers.
2. To foster, develop and promote quality services in education, accommodation,
work and leisure to satisfy the needs of those with with Prader-Willi
Syndrome, their families and carers.
3. To enable the person with Prader-Willi Syndrome to live their life
to the full through:
- Promotion of improved management strategies to minimize negative
impact of the characteristics of the syndrome;
- Education of the community, including receiving and imparting the
latest information from global resources;
- Education of parents, care givers and the people with PWS to endow
them with skills and confidence in the management of the syndrome
through seminars and access to resources and information;
- Promotion and involvement in research to identify medical and other
interventions;
- Promotion and support of a multidisciplinary clinic at the Mater
Hospital for people with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
